Renovation Plans

Renovation and addition plans tend to take a little longer to complete than new house plans because of the amount of detail required beforehand. I often tell people that a renovation such as taking out walls, moving a bathroom or a new kitchen, is a great way to change up your house without the hassle of packing up, selling, buying new and moving. It's an investment in making your house a home, a place where you can grow as a family or make new memories.

Plans aren't always needed for renovations if they are mostly cosmetic, but a lot of people use them as a way to put their thoughts on paper and express what they want to trades and workers.

Additions

Additions on the other hand, always require a permit, which means that plans have to be drawn up before any work can proceed. Some clients I work with know exactly what they want and just need it put on paper; other clients are unsure of all the changes they want and/or need and require ideas, tips and plans.

Big or small - I ensure that plans meet my clients specific needs.
